What is an eye trio

The Eye Trio is a combination treatment of an eyelash and eyebrow tint and eyebrow shape. Tinting your eyebrows and eyelashes with a semi-permanent dye to enhance their look, giving you up to 6 weeks of dark, full eyebrows and eyelashes lashes without the assistance of mascara or eyebrow pencil.

On top of that, your eyebrows will be waxed and shaped to remove the hairs under and in between the eyebrows.

Benefits of an Eye Trio

Benefits of an eye trio

The benefits of an Eye Trio are immediate and include:

Less makeup

Full, defined eyebrows and eyelashes will mean that you can do away with the eye pencil and mascara and you may find that you will need less other eye makeup altogether and still look and feel great.

Look more groomed

Tinting instantly makes you look more groomed and adds more structure to your eye area. The groomed, correct eyebrow shape for your face helps highlight your eye area.

It darkens your look
The colour boost is the most obvious payoff of with eyebrow and eyelash tinting, especially if you have fair eyebrows because you get a stronger look definition and edge to your look.

Risk Factors

Risk Factors

The dye chemical used in eyebrow and eyelash tinting can have an adverse reaction on a small number of people. The skin around the eye is thinner compared to the skin on the rest of the body and is more susceptible to allergic reaction and irritation.

To ensure, for your safety, that you do not have a reaction to the products used in the treatments it is necessary to have a patch test 24 hours before the eyebrow tint treatment takes place:

I will not carry out the treatment without a patch test being carried out at the salon.

If you have broken skin around the eye area, eye infection or conditions (ex. conjunctivitis, swelling, or irritation around the eyes)when you are due to come in for your treatment then you may need to rearrange your appointment. Please contact me if this is the case.

Please notify me upon booking if you are pregnant or have allergies so that we can advise you on the suitability of our treatments, customise our techniques and check product ingredients.

You should avoid products with alpha-hydroxyl or glycolic acid 48 hours prior to facial waxing and avoid facial waxing altogether if using topical prescriptions such as Retin A, Renova or Differin.

If you are on drugs, such as antihistamines, tetracycline, cortisone, and blood-thinning and thyroid meds, they can increase sensitivity during the waxing or lead to excess bleeding, so discuss this with your therapist prior to the treatment.

What to Expect

What to Expect

The first stage will be a consultation with the beauty therapist to discuss how full and natural you want your eyebrows and eyelashes to look.

The Beauty therapist will then prepare the eye area, by removing any debris or remaining makeup. Petroleum jelly is applied under the eye area to prevent the skin from being dyed.

The dye is then mixed and carefully applied, first in the direction of how your eyebrow hairs grow and then a second layer is applied in the opposite direction.

The dye is then applied to the bottom eyelashes. Then with your eyes closed carefully applied, to the top eyelashes from the root outward.

The dye is left on for a few minutes to attain optimal colour, then any excess is removed along with the petroleum jelly, with a damp cotton pad.

Hot wax is then applied with a spatula to the appropriate area of the eyebrow that is not needed to obtain the shape required, once it has dried hard it is removed leaving the required eyebrow shape.

If it is your first time, it might be a good idea to schedule your appointment on a Friday, so you can monitor the results over the weekend.

The combined treatments will take 45 minutes.

What We Offer

What I Offer

As well as an eyelash tint we offer these other eye area treatments:

Eyebrow Shape

This is an eyebrow wax for the removal of the hairs under and in between the eyebrows. Before all eyebrow waxing, I will look and recommend what shape is best for you to get the expert brow shape that will suit your face.

This treatment takes 15 minutes.

Eyebrow Tint

Eyebrow tinting is the process of applying a semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, and define your brows.  It gives the appearance of thicker, more youthful looking eyebrows. The idea is not to make your eyebrows darker, but to match your natural colour. You can have a darker shade if you want to give you a stronger more defined look, especially if you have paler eyebrows.

This treatment takes 15 minutes.

Eyelash Tint

Eyelash tinting is the process of applying a semi-permanent dye to enhance your eyelashes.  It gives you up to 6 weeks of dark, full lashes without the assistance of mascara.  Eyelash tints are a happy medium between mascara and falsies, giving you a wide-eyed, long-lashed look for a relatively affordable price and with little upkeep

This treatment takes 30 minutes.

An Eyelash lift is a temporary perming method that enhances the look of your natural lashes by simply lifting and curling them up. As a result, eyelashes look longer and fuller, enhancing your eye area. Lasting up to 8 weeks, it can give you more confidence and look great for longer with less hassle.

This treatment takes 45 minutes.

CACI Eye Revive

The CACI Eye Revive treatment uses serum filled CACI microcurrent rollers together with a deeply nourishing Hydro Eye Mask to lift hooded eyelids,  reduce puffiness and dark circles and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes.

This treatment will take 30 minutes.
