The therapist will sit down with you to discuss what you would like to achieve from the session and advise on the best way to achieve your desired goal.

The makeup session will be either to make you up to a style agreed or to teach you an aspect(s) of the makeup procedure, this could include one or more of the steps below.

Moisturiser

Before you begin applying the makeup, a high-quality moisturiser will be used. Choosing the right kind of moisturiser is a crucial piece of the puzzle and it needs to be appropriate to your skin type and the result you aim to achieve.

Primer

Whether there is going to be a light coat of foundation or a full face of makeup, primer is an important first step. Using primer under your makeup will make your look last longer.

Liquid Foundation

Finding the perfect shade for your skin is priority number one. The right shade of foundation makes all the difference. Once this has been chosen then it will be applied in the most appropriate way to get the desired result.

Concealer

A concealer is used to 

• reduce the appearance of dark under-eye circles

• minimise the appearance of blemishes

• Highlight area's of your face

It is important to choose the correct shades of concealer for the job.

Foundation Powder

The therapist will begin by using a large, fluffy powder brush, dusting a light coat of powder all over your face. Pressing the bristles into the powder, then sweep across the skin in long, arching strokes.

 

If there are certain areas of your skin that need more coverage (the red and oily parts of your face are generally found in the centre), they may apply a bit more power to that area, by pressing the brush into the skin.

The right highlighter adds a bit of glam and glow to every makeup look. Whether you’re opting for a more natural look or want something bold and beautiful, highlighter can complement your makeup application.

Highlighters come in a variety of forms, including liquids, creams, and powders. The therapist will select the best one or combination for your makeup goals.

Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow can add interest to your makeup look, whether you are after neutral shades for a more natural look or bold colourful hues for a more striking look to your eye area. Whichever look you are after the therapist will go through the best colours to suit the look that you want.

Eyeliner

Eyeliner makes your eyes 'Pop' to give a great look to the eye area. The therapist will go through the ways to apply the liner for best effect

Mascara

A few swipes of mascara can make your eyes look brighter in a single step. You can find mascara in a variety of colours, but black and brown tend to be the ones that go with most looks. The therapist will discuss with you what the best colour is to achieve your look.

Lip Gloss

Before applying the lip gloss the therapist will prepare your lips removing any dry or chapped skin and will then apply a lip conditioner. the lip gloss can then be applied with a colour designed to match your required look.
